Dr. Michael Figley, center, joined students, staff and faculty at a variety of events hosted by the Military Health Institute on Oct. 12, 2016 in support of the MHI’s Distinguished Lecture Series. Dr. Figley spoke about compassion fatigue and his compassion fatigue model. Approximately 60 people attended. Dr. Figley has a distinguished career in the military, published scholar, professor and humanitarian. He has been at the forefront of scholarship on the subject of traumatic stress.
DoD Grant Proposal Workshop 9/22/2016

Dr. Peterson and Dr. Young-McCaughan did a fantastic job of taking people through the proposal process of DoD grant writing. The intention behind the workshop was to coach and inform researchers on opportunities to pursue grants from the DoD related to military health issues.
9/11/16 Memorial Run

The Military Health Interest Group participated in the local 9/11 Memorial Run in support of those who sacrificed their lives.
Saluting our Veterans

Veterans Day is a day for us to celebrate and recognize all the men and women who serve. MHI hosted a reception with faculty, students and staff on campus. All came together, some in dress uniform, for camaraderie and fellowship. The ceremony was well attended and documented in the video below.
