MHI joins Medical Technology Enterprise Consortium (MTEC)
UT Health San Antonio recently joined the Medical Technology Enterprise Consortium (MTEC). MTEC is a nation-wide consortium with members from industry, academia, and the nonprofit sector. The goal of MTEC is to speed the availability of needed medical product solutions to the military, veterans, and the civilian population. The Military Health Institute (MHI) initiated the process of evaluating and joining MTEC in order to advance its mission of improving the health of service members, veterans, and their families.
“Membership in MTEC will provide our university the opportunity to have greater insights into the military medical services to expedite needed medical product development and allow us to partner with like-minded organizations,” said Director of the Military Health Institute at UT Health San Antonio, Byron Hepburn, M.D. These vital products should save lives and mitigate suffering.
