Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) advance medical and scientific research by funding high impact and high-risk projects that other agencies may not fund.

This is a great opportunity for research scientists at the University.

CDMRP currently manages 29 research programs with each research program having its own specific vision and mission statement. In addition to that, CDMRP executes several other more military focused research programs. Defense Medical Research Program (DMRDP), as well as, the Peer Reviewed Medical Research Program (PRMRP), established in year 1999.

CDMRP emphasizes – and the MHI understands – that its funded applications need to be relevant to the health of service members, veterans, and their families.
