Working Together

Collaboration and partnerships lead to innovations. We are dedicated to advancing the health and well-being of our military and civilian families through innovations that have a direct clinical impact.

Recent clinical advances gained from military operations often have a reciprocal impact on our civilian populations.

If you are a member of an academic institution, industry or philanthropic organization with an interest in advancing the health of our service members and their families, please contact mhi@uthscsa.edu.

Current partnerships

Most recently the MHI was an advocate with the City Council and Bexar County Commissioners Court to support and pass resolutions recognizing the existing trauma partnership between Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) and University Hospital and the importance of maintaining the integrity of this partnership for benefit to the community at large as well as our military.  For more details visit COSA Signed Resolution and  Bexar County – Proposed Resolution.

We believe it is important to engage with local community members. In addition to working with many local military and veteran support organizations, the MHI will be establishing a Community Advisory Committee in 2021.

The MHI engages with many other military health-related organizations in a variety of ways, to include:
